Luther Judson Price High School Alumni Athletes/Alumni

Luther Judson Price High Alumni Athletes  was formed as  an organization comprised of former athletes dedicated to L.J. Price High School.

L. J. Price High Alumni Athletes was formed on June 10, 2006 with seven (7) people in attendance.  Presently, our roster has increased to more than  fifty (50) active members.  Although the name "Alumni Athletes" was initially  used for this dynamic group, membership is and always was open to all extra-curricular activities participants (band members, majorettes, cheerleaders, chorus members, etc.,  former coaches, teachers and administrative staff members of L. J. Price High School. 

The purpose of the Luther Judson Price High Alumni/Athletes is multi-faceted.   Listed below are some of the major goals and objectives for the Organization:

1.  To promote brotherhood, fellowship and the camaraderie among former athletes, extra-curricular activities participants, coaches, teachers and administration staff of L. J. Price High School; 
2.  To initiate, develop and augment activities, events and programs of the L. J. Price Middle School;
3.  To provide a working relationship and to give assistance to the L. J. Price Middle School that includes mentors and financial contributions;
4.  To involve ourselves by integrating our ideas, our expertiese and our participation in various community programs and activities; and
5.  To promote education by awarding eligible students with scholarships that are provided from the donations to our Scholarship Program.

During the past four years, we have placed into operation a well-functioning organization that has developed far beyond our expectations.  We have held elections and have installed a cadre of officers in key positions.  We have also established by-laws that govern the organization and have formed various committees to ensure that activities and functions are completed.

In the past, we have sponsored a Golf Tournament, Unity Dinner, the Annual Alumni Breakfasts and have developed a Scholarship Program for students who are products of Price Middle School.

We received our 501(c)(3) exception from the IRS on April 15, 2009.

The continuing success of the Luther Judson Price High Alumni Athletes/Alumni has been enhanced by the participation and support of our members, classmates and You.
